LE PARC MONCEAU

LE MONNA LISA RECOMMENDS LE PARC MONCEAU, THE CHIC GARDEN OF PARIS

Le Parc Monceau is located in the 8th arrondissement of Paris, a chic district of the City of Light. It was designed in the 18th century by the Duke of Chartres and represents Parisian elegance. As soon as you are on the edge of the park, you will admire its spectacular entrance: a forged iron gate with gold mouldings. This famous park is surrounded by sublime Haussmannian buildings and mansions.

We fell in love with the Parc Monceau: a pleasant stroll to do. It is one of our favourite gardens in Paris. Rich of many treasures to discover, you will be able to admire the remains of old buildings, a large water point, a luxuriant vegetation, statues...

THE PARISIAN CHARM!

We recommend this parc for the Naumachie. We're sure you're wondering: what is it? Around the basin stands a remnant of the old basilica of Saint-Denis destroyed in the 18th century. There you will discover all the charms of a vanished era. Indeed, the Naumachie is the name which designates the basins in Antiquity hosting naval battles. We were also seduced by the small Italian-style bridge, worthy of a romantic film. But, also, the waterfall, it brings an undeniable charm to this place.

As you will have understood, everything is there for you to live a timeless experience during a walk... Parc Monceau has inspired famous artists for many years: painters like Monet or photographers like Willy Ronnis!
